Prince Royce was born in the Bronx, a borough of New York City, New York.raised with Dominican parents Royce was raised like any other kid with normal lives.His parents were always strict. His mother supported him that he wanted to be in music.at age 13 he was writing poetry and age 15 he was writing music. He loved different types of music and his favorite song was "stand by me" which is why he reinvented the song.The reason why he chose to sing in the bachata region was because it is a Domincan style of music and he is he loved listening to bachata.
